Telenovela is the collective title for all Latin American drama series that gave rise to various types of television novels. The word combines the tele, short for television or Televisão (Spanish and Portuguese word for television), and the novella, a word study of Latin literature dealing with romantic mid-span and Spanish or Portuguese word for "novel".
La fuerza del destino is a Mexican telenovela to be produced by Televisa under Rosy Ocampo. Sandra Echeverria, who is a Telemundo exclusive artist, joined Televisa as the protagonist of the telenovela as part of Televisa-Telemundo artist exchange. Also starring are David Zepeda, Laisha Wilkins, Gabriel Soto, Marcelo Cordoba, Rosa Maria Bianchi, and Juan Ferrara The filming started in January 2011. The telenovela will last for 5 months.
